Community Involvement
Riney Hancock CPAs believes in giving back to the communities that have been a part of our success. We have developed a culture that encourages the giving of time, talent and treasure to organizations that improve the lives of our fellow citizens.
Each year our employees participate in the United Way annual campaign, the Susan G. Komen “Passionately Pink” campaign for breast cancer awareness and the Goodfellows Club’s Soup Day for Kids campaign.
In 2009, Riney Hancock CPAs supported Extreme Makeover Home Edition when the ABC television show visited to help an Owensboro-area family. Riney Hancock CPAs contributed as a Tent Sponsor for the event, and numerous members of our team gave their time by, volunteering on the build site, helping manage parking, or spending the evening behind the grill at the hamburger/hotdog fundraiser.
In 2010, Riney Hancock CPAs was proud to be a Flagship Sponsor for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K in Owensboro. Our team members participated in the 5K walk/run, collected pledges and recruited other walkers to join the fun. Other volunteers helped with logistics and operations to ensure the event ran smoothly.
In 2011, Riney Hancock CPAs was again a Flagship Sponsor for the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K event. Together, over the past two years the RH Team has raised over $18,000 for the fight against breast cancer.
Our professionals serve on numerous boards and committees for professional, civic and non-profit organizations in our community. Last year our professionals averaged 100 hours each of community service involving 55 organizations.
