IRS interest rates stay the same for the third-quarter

The Internal Revenue Service has released the interest rates on tax overpayments and underpayments for the third quarter of 2018. The interest rates on overpayments will be 5 percent for individuals and 4 percent for corporations. Corporate overpayments exceeding $10,000 will have a 2.5 percent interest rate. The rate charged on underpayments will be 5 percent; though large corporate underpayments will be charged 7 percent.
