We knew our communities were struggling and we wanted to help. In honor of our 47th year anniversary, and to help support the communities where we operate, Riney Hancock CPAs committed to spending $47,000 during the reminder of the year. These funds were used in a variety of ways to benefit as many people and businesses as we could. Here are a few of the donations we made during this time.

We provided 150 boxed lunches from Great Harvest Bread Company to the Daniel Pitino Shelter soup kitchen, helping two essential businesses at the same time. One working daily to feed our community and one that serves meals and provides shelter to the homeless.

We provided 330 meals from Old Hickory Barbeque to the Salvation Army CANteen Ministry. This Ministry was born from the 2018 water main break where teens from the Salvation Army summer program drove around and handed out bottled water. Since that time, a group of teenagers get together to prepare and hand out meals to under served parts of our community. They are now serving over 300 people on Tuesday and Thursday nights with a large part being kids.

We provided all of the employees of the Oasis Shelter with $50 Briarpatch gift cards. The Oasis Shelter is a domestic violence program for battered women and their dependent children, providing a safe place to escape domestic violence.
